Casework, Counselling and Advocacy (Social Work Theory and Practice II)

Overview

Casework, Counselling and Advocacy prepares students for social work practice with individuals and families. In this course, students will develop analytical and practical skills for working with people in a range of practice and organisational settings. People’s situations will be considered within their broader family, social and organisational context with an emphasis on understanding individuals’ construction of their situation. Gender, culture and other power dimensions in relationships and interaction will be a focus.
